Kohl's
Not many stores have changed and grown with the times like Kohls. This company started in 1962 as a supermarket, then Kohls changed into a popular department store. Over time many department stores have disappeared as they failed to adapt to the surge in online shopping and the changing retail landscape but not Kohl's. Their marketing team does a great job of keeping up with social media and keeps up with the trends. I've personally seen advertising for Kohls on many different social media platforms. For example, Snapchat, Facebook, YouTube and TikTok. The Holidays are approaching, and I have been seeing a lot of Kohls advertising on Snapchat at the moment.
When you visit Kohl's website, the first thing you'll notice is their classic logo in the upper left corner and a search bar. Underneath that, you'll find a list of all the current sales and promotions they're offering. This is a great tool to pull the customer in and encourage them to add more to their cart then they had initially planned. At the bottom of the Kohls website, you'll find helpful tools and a list of all the social media platforms they are currently present on. This may benefit the customers if they follow them because they will be up to date on current promotions. I think the way that they organize their website is very effective and easy. Everything you normally look for when you are going to a website is right there on the home page. Although Kohls is doing a great job keeping up with their online presence there is always room for growth and improvement. Social media offers an excellent platform for addressing customer inquiries. For example, if you're having an issue ordering online it would be easy to hop on social media and be able to find an answer for this problem. I have seen many online shops that have a help center that you can text and almost immediately get a response. Overall, I believe Kohl's has successfully stayed current, which is why I've remained a devoted customer for many years.
